ABOUT US

Ferris Farm began as a dream—a place where we could raise our two boys, surrounded by nature and space to explore. In 2016, we sold our home just two miles down the road and bought our dream property—an old farmhouse, a weathered barn, wide-open fields, and acres of woods. We imagined picnics by the river, walks through the woods, and all kinds of adventures.

Since 2011, I had been a stay-at-home mom, cherishing the time spent raising our boys. But as they grew more independent, I found myself longing for something new, something with purpose that would allow me to create, connect, and feel more restored. I craved a way to channel my energy and build something of my own while staying rooted at home.

That’s when flowers came into the picture. It started simply: a few extra rows added to our family vegetable garden. I planted zinnias and cosmos from seed and a single row of dahlia tubers, generously shared by a friend. Those flowers sparked something in me. I found digging in the dirt and nurturing blooms from tiny seeds to be incredibly therapeutic. That simple start changed everything. I discovered peace in the dirt and joy in sharing what I grew.

Encouraged by that feeling, I decided to go all in. I studied, took courses, attended conferences, and slowly expanded the fields. With each season, the farm evolved—first as a passion project, then as a business, growing flowers for florists, designers, and flower lovers across our community.

This little farm is truly a family effort, built on hard work, creativity, and a love for flowers. I never planned to start a flower farm, but now I can’t imagine life without it. Ferris Farm continues to grow alongside our family, and it means so much to share it with you. We’re honored to bring you fresh, locally grown blooms and to be part of your celebrations and everyday moments. Thank you for being part of our story.
